Taxes

Here are the current taxation rates applicable on every purchase. Please note that taxes do not apply to gift certificates. Amount of taxes and registered numbers are shown at the bottom of your invoice.

Quebec residents
Goods and Services Tax (G.S.T.): 5%
Quebec Selling Tax (Q.S.T.): 7.5%.

Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland/Labrador residents
Harmonized Sales Tax (H.S.T.): 13% applies to every purchase.

Rest of Canada residents
Goods and Services Tax (G.S.T.): 5%

 

Retention of property

All merchandise sold and described on the invoices remains the property of OUTILLAGE PLACIDE MATHIEU INC. until full payment. Consequently, this merchandise cannot be sold or seized in case of bankruptcy or closing of your business. If so, OUTILLAGE PLACIDE MATHIEU INC. has the right to repossess its merchandise without notice.

Delivery services

We offer daily and free of charge delivery service of regular orders on Montreal South Shore thanks to our delivery truck. However, for a demand of delivery outside of our normal route, it is possible that excess weight or dimensions charges will be applied.

Residential and corporate clients can benefit from competitive prices and flexible shipping options via Canada Post or Purolator prepaid and charge services.

Furthermore, the holders of an active account from DHL, Dicom Express and Purolator can benefit from guaranteed next day delivery for any order placed before 2:00 pm E.S.T.

The holders of an active account from UPS, FEDEX, Midland and Altimax can take advantage of guaranteed two workdays delivery for regular shipments.

 

Dangerous goods

OUTILLAGE PLACIDE MATHIEU INC. cannot send dangerous or flammable goods via the services of above-mentioned transports, in agreement with the current Canadian regulations.

 

Exchange and return policy

Any claim of return or refund of goods must be made within 10 days from invoice date. The merchandise must be in perfect condition and be contained in its original packaging. The transport costs of the return remains your responsibility.

We respect warranty and satisfaction policies of our suppliers. The original invoice is mandatory for any return or refund claim, while a restocking charge of 15% is applicable on all returned merchandise. Reimbursement does not apply to gift certificates.

For special merchandise order from our suppliers, no modification or cancellation of any kind is allowed. A 20% deposit will be asked for any special orders.

 

Privacy policy
